Gino Vannelli is a great Canadian singer, musician and composer.

I’ve been a fan of Gino Vannelli since the 70´s. Gino’s music has always been at the forefront in terms of both style and production. His older brother Joe Vannelli is also a master of the keyboards. As a rule, Gino always have great musicians with him (especially drummers). When I played in a Swedish fusion band called “Aura”, we were all listening to the fantastic records “Brother to brother” (1978) and “Night walker” (1980). The guys working in the recording studios at that time (early 80´s), had “Night walker” as a model for great sound production. Both albums are highly recommended.

Below you can see two video clips from his “Brother To Brother” tour in New Orleans, April, 1979. The musicians are:

GINO VANNELLI – voc, JOE VANNELLI – keyb, BRAD COLE – keyb, MARK CRANEY – dr (*1952 – † 2005), DARYL STUERMER – g, BILL MEYERS – keyb, DAVE MAROTTA – bg, MIKE FISHER – perc, SANDRA KIRKWOOD, VONCIELE FAGGETT, ALPHANETTE SILLAS – background vocals.
