Quote # 34 by Decca (record company)

“We don’t like their sound, and guitar music is on the way out.”

– Decca in response to the Beatles, 1962

Maybe Decca made the wrong decision in 1962?

The Beatles is one of the best pop/rock groups in our history! My first album as a kid was “Help” with The Beatles from 1965.

The Beatles – “And I Love Her” from the movie “A Hard Day’s Night” filmed in London, July 6, 1964

The Beatles “Eight Days A Week” from the album “Beatles For Sale” (1964)

The Beatles “Fixing A Hole” from the album “Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” (1967)

The Beatles “She’s Leaving Home” from the album “Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” (1967)

The Beatles “The Fool On The Hill” from the album “Magical Mystery Tour” (1967)

The Beatles – “Blackbird” (1968)

The Beatles – “Hey Jude” (1968)

The Beatles “Get Back” (Live at Apple rooftop 1969)

The Beatles – “Don’t Let Me Down” (Live at Apple rooftop 1969)

The Beatles – “Let It Be” (1970)

“Now And Then” was one of three Lennon demos given to Paul, George and Ringo. The demo was first recorded in 1978/79

The other two demo’s by Lennon were “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love”, but “Now and Then” was never released because of electronic noise on John’s vocal track. Presenting the recording as a live performance disguises the interference to some extent. The video is a fake footage.
